Neil is an experienced and driven senior leader who has delivered large-scale Digital Transformation programmes for FTSE100 organisations and Central Government departments.

With in-depth experience using large scale agile techniques and leveraging cloud platforms, Neil enjoys working in challenging situations, often turning around failing programmes while helping clients re-shape and re-structure their business, workforce and processes to create sustainable solutions that deliver substantial cost savings alongside improvements in service and customer satisfaction.

Previously, Neil has undertaken C-suite roles, operating at Board level to translate business priorities into tangible results.

Andy is an accomplished cloud architect at the forefront of AWS technology and a recognised expert within the industry. He led the technical design, delivery and operation of one of the UK government’s largest enterprise cloud platforms on AWS.

Andy has strong planning, leadership and communication skills as well as hands-on delivery expertise so is adept and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels.

The Cloudscaler leadership team have worked closely together for many years, we trust each other implicitly and recognise we each bring unique skills and perspectives, so we’ve decided to periodically rotate the CEO responsibility.

Cloudscaler are a modern, pragmatic organisation. Each of our Directors has an enduring role within the company – Chief Operating Officer (Jackie), Chief Revenue Officer (Neil) and Chief Technology Officer (Andy). Every six months, the CEO role passes from one Director to another. There are a number of benefits to this approach for a business in which the leaders are very much hands-on.

  • The CEO role is demanding and can be fulfilled by the most suitable partner in line with the key objectives of the company for that period.
  • It’s an inspiring but exhausting role, time-boxed ownership better enables prolonged energy and drive, we feel the company will grow faster as a result.
  • Rotation should enable the personality and specialist skills of each partner to more readily flow through into the company. We welcome the diversification in company character and culture.
  • Positive disruption in an increasingly changeable environment is a good thing – we believe it’s the future for value-driven organisations.
